Part Time Dietitian

We are seeking a Part Time Dietitian to work 2 days per week.  The Dietitian is part of a multidisciplinary team of health professionals that supports the Community Living Service.

The Dietitian works both independently and in collaboration with others in assisting clients who live in group homes, (Penrith to Katoomba), to eat interesting and nutritious diets.  All clients have limited capacity to make choices; have some degree of dysphagia, usually related to cerebral palsy; and may be supported with texture-modified diets and/or PEG tube formulae.

Key tasks include liaising with families and support staff regarding diet; working closely with the Speech Pathologist regarding texture modification; devising individual Nutrition Plans; developing house menus which simplify cooking to accommodate a range of dietary requirements; assisting support staff to implement recommendations; and monitoring and evaluating plans.

Applications close: 6 Aug 2010.
