DEL is governed by our Board of Directors, Chaired by Mr Noel Hiffernan. The Board provides guidance, direction and expertise to Disability Enterprises' Management Team, lead by our General Manager, Mr John Le Breton.

General Manager
John Le Breton
John Le Breton has held a number of senior executive positions in the public and non-government sectors providing disability, guardianship, mental health and victim support services. John has been a director or member of a number of agencies and Boards and is a member of the NSW Guardianship Tribunal.
Board Members
Mr. Noel Hiffernan, President and Chairman.
Noel has been a director of the company since September, 2001.
Noel has been actively committed to raising public awareness of issues affecting people with disabilities for over thirty years.
He is a member of a number of community managed organisations in the Blue Mountains and Western Sydney. He is currently employed by the Western Sydney Community Forum as a Community Development Worker
Noel regularly advocates for individuals with disabilities or organisations supporting these individuals.
Mr. Peter Poulos, Vice President.
Peter was appointed as a director of the company in February 1995.
He is the owner manager of a local real estate agency with many years experience in the field.
Peter lives in Katoomba.
Mr. Frank Norman, Director
Frank was appointed as a director in March 2003.
He is the principal of Frank Norman and Associates, Public Accountants, which has an office in Katoomba.
He is also a management consultant with Norman Consulting Services Pty Ltd based in North Sydney, working as an industrial psychologist specialising in the media industry.
He was a contributing author to "Music Business & the Law" and a financial advisor to "Current Affairs Bulletin" at Sydney University.
He was a director for the W.E.A adult education providers for 10 years and has been an officer with the Katoomba Rotary Club since moving to the mountains in 1995.
He is currently the chairman of the Nepean Accountants' Discussion Group.
Mr. Darryl Browne, Director
Darryl has been a director of the company since September 2000.
He is a solicitor with a local legal practice. He regularly writes and talks on legal topics, and has been a lecturer in business law and a compere of a weekly radio program providing legal information and commentary.
Darryl has had a long term commitment to non profit orginisations which has seen him serve as a trustee of various foundations such as the Blue Mountains Health Trust, Linden Observatory Trust and Leura Scouts, President of Biznet Blue Mountains, the Blue Mountains Law society and the Rotary Club of Katoomba, chairman of Korowal School and committee member of the Leura Village Association.
He lives at Wentworth Falls and is the father of three terrific sons.
Mr. John Mair, Director.
John was appointed as a director in May 2003.
He is a public accountant operating from Katoomba. Within the accounting practice John is associated with other non profit organisations within the Mountains.
He lives in Katoomba and has done so for the past 17 years. During most of those 17 years, he was a member of a local Rural Fire Brigade and held the position of treasurer and secretary for some time in addition to serving the community in the field."
Mr. Stephen Young, Director.
Stephen was appointed as a director in 2007.
He is from an Engineering background, and is General Manager of Eilbeck Cranes, who are the largest crane manufacturer in Australia.
He has lived in the upper mountains for the past 20 years and had an association with Disability Enterprises for the past 10 years.
Mr. Greg Petley, Director.
Greg was appointed as a director in September 2001 and has been associated with Disability Enterprises since 1991 when his daughter became a resident of Greystanes Children's Home.
A resident if the Blue Mountains since 1991 he has been active in the local business community as ex President of the Blaxland Chamber of Commerce, Blaxland RFS, and was a founding member of Blue Mountains BIZNET.
He has been operating a traffic consultancy business for the past 14 years assisting with many local festivals such as Katoomba's Winter Magic, Springwood Fair, Glenbrook Australia Day, Blackheath Rhododendron and Kurrajongs Scarecrow Festivals and was involved with the Sydney 2000 Olympics and Para Olympics.
Ms Sheila Doyle, Director
Sheila has been a director of the company since September 2000.
She is a foster mother to a current client with many years experience in supporting people with disabilities.
Sheila is a former employee of the company and has trained and worked in nursing for over 20 years.
Ms Pauline Neall, Director.
Pauline Neall was Secretary of the committee that raised the necessary funds for the Hydrotherapy Pool at Blue Mountains and District Anzac Memorial Hospital.
She is presently employed on a part-time basis for the State Member of Parliament.
